Yetter Privacy Policy

SqueezeBits, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) may collect, store, use, and share (“process”) your personal information.

We process your personal information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws and regulations.

This Privacy Policy explains how we process and protect your personal information when you use the yetter service (the “Service”), and how you may exercise your rights or resolve any related grievances.

Please carefully read and review this Privacy Policy which will help you understand your privacy rights and choices.


Why We Collect Your Information

We collect and process your personal information for the following purposes. We will not use your personal information for purposes other than those listed below unless we obtain your separate consent.

  • Membership registration and management: Verification of membership intent, identity authentication, maintenance of membership status, prevention of misuse, notices, dispute resolution, and user verification

  • Payment and provision of services: Provision of services and content, identity verification, payment and settlement of fees, and debt collection

  • Customer support: Handling of inquiries, complaints, and dispute resolution

  • Service improvement and development: Enhancement of existing services and development of new and customized services

  • Marketing: Provision of newsletters, events, and benefits via app push notifications, email, SMS, or social media


Your INFORMATION We Collect or Receive

We collect and process your personal information for the following purposes and retain such information for the duration specified below. We will not use your personal information for purposes other than those listed below unless we obtain your separate consent.

Notwithstanding the above, we may retain certain information:

  • During investigations for violations of law: Until the investigation is concluded

  • To prevent fraudulent re-registration after termination: Certain identifiers (name, phone number, email, and records of misuse) may be retained for up to 6 months

  • Where applicable law requires retention, we will retain information as follows:

    • Communications data (under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act of Korea): 3 months

    • Transaction records (under the Framework Act on National Taxes of Korea): 5 years

    • Records under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of Korea:

      • Advertisements: 6 months

      • Contracts, payments, and supply of goods: 5 years

      • Consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years


HOW WE collect YOUR INFORMATION

We collect personal information when you use the Service with your consent. You may update or delete certain information within the app or request withdrawal of membership at any time.

In addition, we may automatically collect certain information such as your IP address, service usage records (including visit logs and misuse records), device information, device model, operating system type and version, and browser type and version.


Children’s Privacy

We restrict the use of the Service to individuals aged 14 and older. We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from children under the age of 14.


Provision of Personal information to Third Parties

We do not provide your personal information to third parties without your consent, unless permitted by applicable laws. Where we provide personal information to third parties, the recipients and purposes are as follows:

When entering into outsourcing agreements, we include provisions to prohibit processing beyond the purpose of outsourcing, require technical and administrative safeguards, restrict re-outsourcing, and impose liability for damages. We also monitor whether processors handle personal information safely. If the scope of outsourced tasks or the processor changes, we will promptly disclose such changes through this Privacy Policy.

We also transfer personal information abroad to third-party processors. In accordance with Article 28-8(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea, we provide the following information:

How to Refuse & Its Effects

As payment processing is an essential function for providing paid services, refusal to provide this information will make it impossible to complete the purchase.


Destruction of Personal Information

We will, without undue delay, destroy your personal information when it is no longer needed, such as upon the expiration of the personal information retention period, or achievement of the purpose of processing.

If we need to preserve your personal information beyond the agreed retention period due to legal obligations, we will store your personal information and isolate it from further processing by separately storing it in a dedicated database or physical location.

We take the following destruction procedures and methods:

  • Destruction Procedures: We will select the personal information for which the reason for destruction has arisen and destroy the personal information with the approval of our Chief Privacy Officer

  • Destruction Methods: Electronic files are permanently deleted using technical methods that render the information irrecoverable. Paper documents are shredded or incinerated.


You may request access to your personal information, or request its correction, deletion, suspension of processing, transfer, or an explanation of automated decision-making at any time.

Requests may be made in writing, by email, or by fax. We will take action without undue delay.

You may exercise the above right by your agents, such as your legal representative or a delegate, in which case you will be required to submit to us a power of attorney that confirms such delegation.

We verify the identity of requestors to ensure lawful exercise of rights.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the exercise of certain rights may be restricted under applicable laws; for example, requests for deletion may not be granted if retention is explicitly required by law.


Security Measures

We have implemented the following security measures to ensure the security of your personal information:

  • Administrative Measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, operation of a dedicated team, and regular staff training

  • Technical Measures: Access control, installation of access control systems, encryption, installation and updates of security programs

  • Physical Measures: Access restriction to server rooms and data storage rooms.


COOKIES, TRACKING, AND BEHAVIORAL INFORMATION

We use memory functions that automatically store usage information to provide personalized services and convenience. If you refuse such automatic storage, you will not be ableG to use the Service, and you may withdraw your membership if you do not wish to allow such storage.

We also allow certain third parties to collect behavioral information through automatic tracking tools for service optimization and marketing. If you refuse such third party collection, you will not be able to use the Service, and you may withdraw your membership if you do not wish to allow such third party collection.

Amendments to this Policy

This Privacy Policy may be amended to reflect changes in law, technology, or company practices. Notice of changes will be provided at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date.
